Calculate area and mass for one rectangle
Enter fabric width in centimetres, length in metres, and mass per unit area from specification in grams per square metre. The tool returns area of one flat rectangle in square metres and its mass in grams. Every figure you type is your own input; nothing here is a stock figure, quote or fabric claim.
Area = width cm divided by 100, multiplied by length m. Mass = area in m², multiplied by g/m². Each field must be greater than 0 and no more than 1000000, with at most six decimal places; no exponents, negative numbers or non-numeric values. Results are rounded up to three decimal places. This is one flat rectangle. It is not a cutting layout, not a finished garment's weight and not a check on any supplied GSM figure or real physical piece.
Hypothetical demonstration: 150 cm, 2 m and 250 g/m² give 3 m² and 750 g. These are example inputs only, not a fabric stock claim.
